World’s Top-Ranked Amateurs Set to Compete in Singapore

The list of players that will represent their countries on the 36 men’s and 36 women’s teams in the 2025 World Amateur Team Championships (WATC) in Singapore has been finalised.

The Championships are hosted by the Singapore Golf Association and will be played at the Tanah Merah Country Club (Tampines Course). The women will compete for the Espirito Santo Trophy from 1-4 October and the men will play for the Eisenhower Trophy from 8-11 October.

The Championships are played over 72 holes of stroke play. Each country is represented by a team of two or three players with the two lowest scores counting per round. Republic of Korea won the Espirito Santo Trophy in 2023 while the men’s team from the USA took home the Eisenhower Trophy.

Six of the top 10 players in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking® will compete in Singapore in October, including top-ranked American Kiara Romero, Spain’s Paula Martin Sampedro (No. 2) and Andrea Revuelta (No. 3), and the USA’s Megha Ganne (No. 4) and Farah O’Keefe (No. 7).

Two of the top five players in the men’s ranking headline the field for the Eisenhower Trophy, including Americans Ethan Fang (No. 3) and Preston Stout (No. 4). Three more players ranked inside the top 10 will also compete at Tanah Merah, including Czechia’s Filip Jakubcik (No. 7), Christian Maas, of South Africa (No. 8) and Englishman Tyler Weaver (No. 10).
